Even if their split has been described as amicable and even as the celebrities involved have nothing but nice words for their exes, I still feel bad that Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy are separating. The two have been together for five long years and to the outside world, it seems as if the two get along really well and understand each other’s frequency. So, why are they breaking up?

In Twitter, where both celebrities are present and very visible, Jim Carrey posted:

Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay! ?;^>

Jenny McCarthy on the other hand, sent in this tweet on hers:

Im so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.

I really wonder what could have gone wrong. Just last Valentine’s day, Jenny had sent a romantic skyline message to her beloved Jim….when no one really does that anymore, right? And she proudly told everyone via Twitter to look up that sky that day, so that a lot of people can witness her love declarations.

They’ve been regarded as one of Hollywood’s most devoted couple, especially since Jim just adores Jenny’s autistic child like his own.

The couple’s representatives have confirmed the breakup Tuesday night.

In his last interview with People Magazine, Jim Carrey declared: “Jenny is the first person that I’ve been with where I don’t have a giant question mark over my head,”

So sad for this break-up!

I was actually rooting for these two to live happily ever after. If only for Reese sake. After her divorce, I was hoping she will find true love again. But, alas. This relationship was perhaps not meant to be. Reports from People Magazine say the couple have split. No other details have been given and no one is yet officially giving their statement.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal met on the set of Rendition in 2007. She was fresh out of her divorce from actor Ryan Philippe. And in 2008, the two were seen together often. Without even admitting their relationship in public, photos of them always together confirmed that Reese and Jake were indeed in a relationship.

In the last recent months, the two spent wonderful vacations together, giving no inkling that they would have split up by Winter. (What timing?! To break up during the holiday season?)

I do hope this isn’t just some publicity stunt. Reese has her Four Christmases DVD out this month, while Jake’s Prince of Persia is coming up soon. None of these projects are actually making a big buzz. If in the next couple of weeks we see reports that they’re back together, then I’m convinced this is all just for show.

People Magazine has released its annual Sexiest Man Alive issue, leaving most people surprised at the choice for sexiest. It’s not that Johnny Depp isn’t qualified, he more than fits the bill. It’s because there’s been a string of sexier, younger celebrities. No one expected People to crown someone a second time around. Johnny Depp was hailed sexiest first in 2003.

In a statement by People, this is why they think Deep deserves the Sexiest tag: “Whether it’s onscreen in roles like Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise or at home with his family on their private Bahamian island, the 46-year-old father of two with 25 years in show business still reigns as Hollywood’s most irresistible iconoclast.”

I don’t agree with some of the choices for Top 15 alone and I’m missing quite a few names. (C’mon People Magazine! Look into Jeffrey Donovan or Matt Bomer once in while!)

Last week, the showbiz world got into a frenzy upon learning that former Charlie’s Angels star Farrah Fawcett was rushed to the hospital due to internal bleeding. While the bleeding was not associated with her fight with cancer, it was reported today that Farrah Fawcett has been released from the Los Angeles Hospital with long-time partner and actor Ryan O’ Neal.

“She’s walking and in great in spirits and looking forward to celebrating Easter at home,” said Dr. Lawrence Piro, in an interview with People magazine.

“Her home has been stocked with her favorite teas and food and she’s looking forward to enjoying them,” he said.

The “Charlie’s Angels” actress, 62, entered the hospital on April 2.
