Alexander Skarsgard To Lead Battleship

June 21, 2010 - 9:08 am No Comments

Screen shot 2010-06-21 at 5.09.01 AM Battleship is a popular board game by Hasbro (I think I played it when I was in 3rd grade) which director, Peter Berg, is going to turn into a movie, with permissions from the game company. I like most projects Peter Berg has done, so this is quite interesting to me. But that makes it more interesting is their inclusion of two good looking actors such Alexander Skarsgard (from True Blood) and Taylor Hisch (from Friday Night Lights) in the cast. The two will play brothers who are both naval officers and who will be battling it out with aliens. The film will obviously be an action adventure sci-fi combo, with lots and lots of good looking men!

Writing the script for Battleship are Jon and Erich Hoeber , while filming will begin this August to make it to their June 2012 release date.

Michael BayTransformers director has opted to forego is “break” and met with Steven Spielberg on the next Transformer’s sequel, Transformers 3. The target date is on July 1, 2011 and this early, you can bet that Megan Fox will be back.

“Well its official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012,” he said. “Today is Day One. This morning started with an ILM meeting for five hours in San Francisco. Currently I’m flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters.”

He continued: “P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.”

And about that small-budget film he was looking to make before “Transformers 3″… “‘Pain and Gain’ is right after shooting of Trans 3,” said Bay.
