The A-Team 2010

Check out the 2010 version of the 1980s TV series the A-Team.

“The A-Team” follows the exciting and daring exploits of a colorful team of former Special Forces soldiers who were set up for a crime they did not commit. Going “rogue,” they utilize their unique talents to try and clear their names and find the true culprit. Liam Neeson (”Taken”), Bradley Cooper (”The Hangover”), mixed martial arts champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and “District 9″ sensation Sharlto Copley, are “The A-Team.”

Check out the new A-Team!

Cast
Liam Neeson as Col. John “Hannibal” Smith
Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as Sgt. B.A. “Bad Attitude” Baracus
Sharlto Copley as Capt. H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock
Jessica Biel as Lt. Carissa Sosa

Based on the TV series, the movie has a released date of June 11, 2010.

I am personally not excited about this film. The original cast still remain the icons that they are. But maybe it will prove me wrong come summer time. It does have Liam Neeson in the cast, after all.

Johnny Depp is The Sexiest The 2nd Time Around

November 19, 2009 - 5:11 am No Comments

Screen shot 2009-11-19 at 8.11.19 AM

People Magazine has released its annual Sexiest Man Alive issue, leaving most people surprised at the choice for sexiest. It’s not that Johnny Depp isn’t qualified, he more than fits the bill. It’s because there’s been a string of sexier, younger celebrities. No one expected People to crown someone a second time around. Johnny Depp was hailed sexiest first in 2003.

In a statement by People, this is why they think Deep deserves the Sexiest tag: “Whether it’s onscreen in roles like Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise or at home with his family on their private Bahamian island, the 46-year-old father of two with 25 years in show business still reigns as Hollywood’s most irresistible iconoclast.”

The other men who made it on the list include:

  • 15th Robert Pattinson – star of Twilight, tween and teen sensation
  • 14th John Legend -cool crooner
  • 13th Jerry O’Connell – sexy sense of humor
  • 12th Chris Daughtry -idol rock hot
  • 11th John Cho – hot Asian star
  • 10th Adam Lambert – gay idol music marvel
  • 9th Nick Cannon – pop diva husband
  • 8th The Glee Guys – cute, dorky, talented dudes
  • 7th Gilles Marini – Frenchy fabulous
  • 6th David Beckham – sporty sexy
  • 5th Robert Downey Jr – iron clad sexy
  • 4th Bradley Cooper – new breed sexy
  • 3rd Jake Gyllenhaal – old breed sexy
  • 2nd Ryan Reynolds- nice guy leading man material sexy

I don’t agree with some of the choices for Top 15 alone and I’m missing quite a few names. (C’mon People Magazine! Look into Jeffrey Donovan or Matt Bomer once in while!)

The list included 109 sexiest and the magazine is now out in newsstands.

40 Handsomest Men in Hollywood

August 21, 2009 - 2:46 pm 3 Comments

Well, we did the ladies, so now it’s time to do the gentlemen.  Whoo hoo!  Like before, I’ll divide them up into Absolutely!  Who the heck is he? and Him?  And as before, the list is Premiere’s, but the comments are mine.

Absolutely!

Robert Pattinson.  For all his Twilight yumminess, this young man does not always photograph well.  Still, he’s got this kind of melancoly intensity about him that my caretaking side can’t resist.  Come to mama, sweetie!

Hugh Jackman.  Masculine, funny, and devoted to his wife and family.  Could anything be sexier?

Christian Bale.  Completely intense, therefore totally sexy.  However, the temper tantrum thing is a bit of a turnoff.

Orlando Bloom.  So I’ve still got a thing for Legolas.  So sue me.

Gerard Butler.  Sure, he’s a Hugh Jackman clone, but I love Hgh Jackman, so I say more is better.

Zac Efron.  Too young…he’s too young…too young…

Denzel Washington.  How can one man be so intense and so laid back at the same time?  My favorite is Crimson Tide, when he wears the Navy uniform.

Johnny Depp.  He’s the most chameleonic actor out there, and if he’s being human, he’s still extremely attractive.  Some of us have loved him for 25 years.

Eric Bana.  Oh, yes.

Aaron Eckhart.  I have always loved him.  I loved him before you did.  I loved him before YOU even knew who he was.

Idris Elba.  There’s just something about this guy…strong, quiet, funny…mmmm.

Daniel Craig.  I debated on where he should go on my list, but then I remembered seeing pics of him shirtless.  That, combined with those bright blue eyes, catapulted him onto my personal A-list.

Ewan McGregor!  YES!!  I absolutely love him, and I think he’s one of the most underappreciated (yet most regularly working) actors in the business.  The blue eyes, the crooked smile, the Scottish accent…sigh.  And the man can do ANYTHING.  Comedy, drama, action, anything.

Who the heck is he?

Josh Duhamel.  His big career move is apparently Transformers.  ‘Nuff said.

Channing Tatum.  He does have a cool name, but other than that he seems to be a clone of older, better, sexier actors.

Joseph Gordon Levitt.  Cute…but that’s all.

Jay Hernandez.  No idea who this person is.

Emile Hirsch.  I knew the name, now I know the face…not impressed.

Chris Messina.  *shrug*

Tyrese Gibson.  Not that I don’t appreciate the shirtless pic…

Gael Garcia Bernal.  I don’t know his work very well, but from the pic he looks like a Latino Jake Gyllenhall.

Josh Lucas.  Not sure who he is, but not all that impressed with the pics.

Milo Ventimiglia.  Dark, brooding, Italian…he has possibilities.  I’ll keep my eye on him.

Him?

James Franco.  I like him as an actor, but the cheekbones are a little too much.  And actually, I don’t always like him as an actor, so…

Bradley Cooper.  Yeah, he’s handsome.  And he and Renee are a cute couple.  But he elicits nothing more than a shrug from me.

Ryan Reynolds.  Meh…

Jake Gyllenhall.  Not that he can’t be sexy in the right role…I like him, but I don’t find him attractive.

James Marsden.  Too pretty.

Brad Pitt.  Good actor, but I’m sick to death of him.

Jamie Foxx.  Excellent actor, but that’s as far as my appreciation extends.  And I don’t like that “Blame it on the Alcohol” song.

Chris Pine.  I think I’ve just seen him in too many bad movies.  He always seemed like a poor girl’s Rob Lowe to me.

Dwayne Johnson.  He’s becoming a good comedic actor, but he still doesn’t do it for me.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers.  He does have a sort of bohemian half-starved yumminess, but it’s not enough to make my personal A-list.

Robert Downey, Jr.  I love him as an actor and admire  him for his personal victories.  But I don’t think he’s all that hot.

Leonardo Di Caprio.  I think he’s a better actor than he’s given credit for, but he just doesn’t do it for me.

Paul Rudd.  Nice guy, but…

Ryan Gosling.  This is another actor I’ve been following since he was very young, but not for his looks.

Dennis Quaid.  What, is the token old guy on the list?

Ed Burns.  Meh…

George Clooney.  It just depends.  Sometimes he hits my A-list, sometimes not.

So, that’s 40.  Did they miss anyone?  Heck, yeah!  How about Laurence Fishburn?  Seriously, is there a sexier character than Morpheus anywhere in the world?  Or Taylor Lautner?  Brendan Fraser?  Daniel Radcliffe?  WILL SMITH, for goodness sake!  Bill Paxton!  Peter Facinelli!  Viggo Mortensen!  Justin Timberlake, Billy Burke, Jamie Bamber, Ioan Gruffud, Karl Urban, Harrison Ford…yeah, they missed a LOT!

But I guess they could only do 40…

The Next Hollywood Super Couple?

August 20, 2009 - 3:58 pm No Comments

While their respective reps won’t confirm a burgeoning relationship between Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper, we’re psyched that no official comment has been made denying these two wonderful individuals are dating.

I’ve been a fan of Bradley since he first appeared on Alias. And Renee– I became a fan girl of hers when I saw her in all her Bridget Jones glory.

I’ve followed these two, loosely, over the years. Bradley building a creditable resume and delivering increasingly noteworthy performances has been a treat to watch. Renee floored me with her portrayal of Ruby in Cold Mountain. More recently, Bradley’s hit ‘The Hangover’ has put him on the ‘It List’ – like he should have been all along. A promise of a third Bridget Jones movie has me titillated. The only thing that could be better would be if these two were to combine their comedic and dramatic talent and make a movie together.

Guess I had better write a letter to Santa for that one, huh?

Regardless of what is ‘official’ or ‘yet to be confirmed’, I know we’re all going to be cheering for what could be the next Hollywood Super Couple.
