Natalie Portman’s latest movie, Black Swan, a ballet thriller directed by Darren Arronofsky, is getting good raves from critiques. The film was recently screened at the Venice Film Festival.

In the movie, Portman plays Nina, who is so passionate about her craft that it lead to a mental breakdown. The film brings out a depth to her acting skills, particularly since this movie has plenty of scary parts and a girl on girl love scene between Portman and Mila Kunis, who plays her rival.

Critics are saying that Portman is locked in for the Oscar race next year. To note, her role as this deranged ballerina has never been portrayed in a film before.

Katie Holmes will soon find herself working for Adam Sandler, as his movie production, Happy Madison, has hired her to star in a romantic comedy written by Steven Koren entitled Jack & Jill.

The film has been in early conceptual stages since 2006 with Dennis Dugan, who has done most of Adam Sandler’s films like Grown Ups, Zohan and Chuck and Larry, is going to direct the Katie Holmes starrer.

The premise of the film involves twins Jack and Jill who get together during the holidays and hilarity ensues. Katie Holmes will play Jack’s wife and will be embroiled in the middle of it.

Al Pacino is going to have a guest cameo on this film playing himself. The other cast in the project have yet to be announced.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, co-stars of the hit TV series, True Blood, has gotten married over the weekend in a private residence located in Malibu, California.

The couple met on the set of their TV show, and officially went public with their relationship February of last year. They were subsequently engaged in August of that same year in Hawaii.

This is the first marriage for the actress. Anna Paquin made headlines because she was one of the youngest actresses to be ever nominated at the Oscars at age 11 for the film, The Piano, in 1993.

Stephen Moyer is a British born actor who has two kids from a previous relationship.

The wedding was a very private affair with only a few of their cast mates from the series, also present.

After doing an action flick with Salt, Angelina Jolie is setting her sites on doing a love story, according to Reuters. Though, it’s just not a typical love story, but it is one that is set at the height of the Bosnian War. Shooting is supposedly going to start this fall in Sarajevo, with the mother of six working along side local actors, as the film is intended to feature authenticity.

Angelina Jolie was in Sarajevo recently for the pre-production of film and says in a statement that she wants many locals involved. She also stresses the film is a love story and not a political movie.

I don’t think I’ve seen Angelina Jolie succeed in love stories yet so this is something people are sure going to watch for.

After deliberating among several possible actors to play Spider-man in the reboot which will be directed by Marc Webb, the production is now looking into casting who will play the webbed crusaders girlfriend. Sources say, the lady will not be Mary Jane, who, as everyone knows, has been Peter Parker’s love interest for so very long. In the last movies, Mary Jane was played by Kirsten Dunst.

The new character, the love interest is Gwen Stacy. She is actually in the comics and was introduced in the last Spider-man movie. Bryce Dallas Howard played her.

High up on the list of possible actresses to play Gwen Stacy is Julia Roberts’ niece, Emma Roberts, who is fast becoming a star just like her celebrity aunt and father, Eric Roberts.

Also up for the part is Ophelia Lovibond, who is a British actress and has appeared on the critically acclaimed film, Nowhere Boy.

Lilly Collins, who was in the film The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock, was also said to be considered, so has been Teresa Palmer, who recently was in theaters, appearing on The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

These girls were invited for readings as well as meetings with the film’s executives, though no screen tests were done yet, as rumors suggests. There are still a number of other young ladies on the list.

The Spider-Man reboot is going to be really young and hip as the film is set in High School, compared to the adult Spider-Man in the earlier films.

Shooting will start this coming December.
