Chris Brown has probation revoked
Rapper Chris Brown had his probation revoked because of an alleged hit-and-run car accident, the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.
Brown, 24, was serving a five-year probation term for his 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend and pop star Rihanna just prior to the Grammy ceremony.
Now he is alleged to have refused to hand over his driver’s licence and insurance details as required by law after a fender-bender in Los Angeles in June.
According to the report, Brown was released without bail and ordered to attend a court hearing on August 16, at which time it would be decided what punishment, if any, would be meted out.
Brown could face up to four years behind bars on the probation violation. (dpa)
