Los Angeles (dpa) – Legendary record executive Clive Davis came out as bisexual Tuesday, telling ABC’s Nightline that he is currently in a monogamous relationship with a man.

Davis, who has nurtured stars such as Whitney Houston, Janis Joplin, Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Barry Manilow and Santana, said he had his first relationship with a man after the end of his heterosexual marriage in the 1980s.

”For over 50 years I never had sex with a male. I wasn’t repressed. I had very good sexual relationships with women,” he tells ABC’s Nightline.

Davis, whose autobiography, The Soundtrack of My Life, is being released Tuesday, said that he had a 13-year monogamous relationship with a male doctor that ended in 2004, and has been in another relationship with a man since then.
