Jodie Foster wins Golden Globe lifetime achievement award

Los Angeles (dpa) – Actress Jodie Foster won the Cecile B De Mille award Sunday for ”outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment” at the Golden Globes.

The winner of two Oscars and two Golden Globes, Foster, 50, was a child actress in Hollywood when she first gained wide acclaim for her role in Taxi Driver in 1976 at the age of 14.

She has starred in dozens of films including Panic Room, The Silence of the Lambs and Contact.
