Posted by admin

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–PEOPLE, the leading celebrity news brand, and Gogo, a leading provider of in-flight connectivity, today announce that PEOPLE.com content will be available on Gogo’s new in-air multimedia platform, which is currently live aboard Delta Air Lines.

Through its partnership with Gogo, PEOPLE.com content is expected to be rolled out on all Gogo enabled aircraft across 8 different airlines, which includes American Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, Virgin America, Alaska Air and AirTran. Gogo is available today on nearly 1,200 planes that account for more than 4,000 commercial flights and carry approximately 500,000 passengers each day.

As the first ever celebrity content provider on Gogo®, PEOPLE.com will offer airline passengers the latest celebrity news on their laptops and tablets in-flight. Passengers will have access to a limited number of PEOPLE.com articles for free before signing up for the paid Gogo Wi-Fi service. Gogo users then have the ability to browse up-to-the-minute news, photos and more directly on PEOPLE.com.

“PEOPLE.com is the perfect escape for airline travelers,” says Karen Kovacs, Publisher, PEOPLE. “PEOPLE is already the number one magazine in airports. With this partnership, consumers have yet another way of staying connected with the latest celebrity news in flight. “

“Gogo has presented passengers with several new entertainment options through the launch of our new in-air multimedia platform in September. The new platform represents the convergence of in-flight connectivity and in-flight entertainment,” said Ash ElDifrawi, Gogo’s chief marketing officer. “By partnering with PEOPLE.com, a leader in celebrity news, we are offering passengers another exciting entertainment option at 30,000 feet.”
