MANILA, Philippines – Michael Bolton is apparently a fan of Filipino boxing star Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.

Bolton, who is in the country for a concert on Tuesday, says he looks forward to watching Pacquiao’s upcoming bout with Emmanuel “El Dinamita” Marquez in Las Vegas on Nov. 12.

More, he wants to see Pacquiao triumph on that day.

“(I’m) really looking forward to see Pacquiao win in Las Vegas,” said he in an interview with abscbnnews.com.

Bolton popularized many songs during his late ’80s – early ’90s heyday, including the Percy Sledge original “When A Man Loves A Woman,” “How Can We Be Lovers,” “Missing You Now” and “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.”

His current Philippine visit comes courtesy of hit songwriter David Foster, who invited him alongside Filipino singer Charice Pempengco, Philip Bailey, Ashanti and Russell Watson to perform at the “Hit Man Returns: David Foster and Friends” concert to be held at the Araneta Coliseum on Oct. 25.

“(I’m) Very excited to be back [for the] second year in a row. It’s gonna be a great show. I hope everybody will come and enjoy,” Bolton said.

“We are really looking forward to our show,” he added.

Bolton and Foster developed their friendship working together in 1992 for Bolton’s “Timeless: The Classics,” an album of cover versions which hit number 1 on the Billboard charts on its way to being certified 4xPlatinum in the US and has sold over 9 million copies worldwide.

Although known mostly as a singer, Bolton also dabbles in films as an actor and producer. He last appeared in “The Onion Movie” in 2008.

As executive producer, he helped shaped “The Other Side of the Tracks,” a 2008 independent
