Peter Dinklage is making real waves as Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones. He is even making bigger waves as he just won an acting trophy for that role in the Emmy Awards last night.

The actor made his character a real standout in a cast where there are plenty of principal actors. He is the first one in the cast to get an acting trophy, and the first one to be actually recognized for it.

Peter Dinklage has been a presence on television even before Game of Thrones. He had been a guest star on numerous shows, and had notable performances.

His role as Tyrion was a challengin to play on TV and he made the character larger than life, instead of actually being small, in the real sense of the word.

And for that he is richly deserving of the Best Supporting Actor in Drama trophy!
