A fashion company named GC Exclusive, which had been unlawfully using George Clooney’s images and name for their promotions, has been convicted of fraud in Italy.

The actor has accused its designers and owners, Vanja Goffi, Francesco Galdelli and Vincenzo Cannalire, for adding his face to the print ads when he has not approved of this, nor has he approved of endorsing the clothing line. In his testimony, the actor says that he is not the man in the photo since he does not wear the clothes they sell. The actor was referring to the jean shorts that was supposedly his endorsement.

He also testified he has never met the defendants nor signed any documents in relation to this endorsements. They have been sentenced to a maximum of three years in jail time.
