Academy-award nominee Jeremy Renner is keen developing a Steve McQueen biopic in which he will star.

The actor, along with his partner in producing the film, Don Handfield, has started a company that will bring to life the story of the star of “The Great Escape”. They are also planning on getting Ivan Zacharias to direct the film. He is known for his work in several music videos and if this pushes through, the Steve McQueen biopic would be his first feature film.

While this is taking place in the development stage, Jeremy Renner is also rumored to take over the role of Jason Bourne in the fourth film, The Bourne Ultimatum. The character is previously attributed to Matt Damon but he has declined playing this a fourth time, especially since the movie has a new director.
