Warner Bros is reportedly adapting the sci-fi novel by William Nolan and George Clayton Johnson called Logan’s Run, which was also done into a film back in the 70′s.

There is no word of confirmation from the actor or his representatives but Deadline Hollywood has reported that Gosling will play Logan 5 in this movie. The remake is set to be directed by Nicholas Winding Refn and is about a “sandman” who follows and “runners” or those that who don’t want to surrender to authorities of the society upon reaching 21.

In the first remake, Michael York played the Sandman and subsequently also was in the TV series spin-off.

Gosling has just starred in the much lauded movie, Blue Valentine. He is also set to star in a movie directed by none other than George Clooney.
