MANILA, Philippines – Fans eager to see local stars mimicking the looks of their Hollywood counterparts, as seen in popular films, have until Mar. 3 to troop to the Archaelogy Wing of Power Plant Mall in Rockwell to view the photo exhibit dubbed “Best of Hollywood.”

According to organizers, the exhibit, which is now on its third year, is meant as a tribute to the 2011 Oscars.

Seen at the exhibit are the works of fifteen creative teams composed of top photographers, stylists and make-up artists and, of course, their respective muses which include Bea Alonzo, Heart Evangelista , Diego Mapa, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Kim Chiu, Mia Ayesa,Diego Castillo,Megan Young, Lance Howard, Daniel Matsunaga, Fabio Ide, Hideo Muraoka, Deny Barros, Rich Herrera Rich Hardin, Empress Schuck , Azkals Anton Del Rosario Christopher Camcam, Mai Kaufman, Rocio Olbes, Vania Romoff, Bianca Roque, Robbie Carmona, Erik Cua, Stephen Ku, Mitch Malli, Gp Reyes, Zsazsa Padilla, Julia Montes , Dennis Trillo, Jewel Mische and John Lloyd Cruz.

Making a contest out of the efforts of each team, Velvet Channel awarded best photo–and a whooping P175,000–to a picture featuring Cruz as Robert Downey Jr. as “Sherlock Holmes.”

Winning the same feat in 2009 was a picture of Diether Ocampo as Marlon Brando in “The Godfather.”

Last year, the honor was bestowed on the Jericho Rosales and Maricar Reyes photo where they appeared as Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman respectively, as seen in “Casablanca.”
