MANILA, Philippines — TV host-actress Anne Curtis denied rumors that she took over the spot of Marian Rivera as the top endorser of SM Development Corporation (SMDC).

“Hindi ko siya pinalitan in all fairness, I was just added to the SMDC family. I think to use replacement is such a… I don’t think it’s a word we should use because I did not naman replace her,” clarified the “Showtime” host in a recent event.

Speculations that she replaced the Kapuso prized star as endorser brew because of the grand welcome she received during her launch as the real estate company’s newest endorser. In a seeming Hollywood event fashion, Anne arrived at the venue in a Rolls Royce and walked on a red carpet wearing a Francis Libiran creation, while the paparazzi flocked to her.

More, she even had a dramatic entrance towards the stage, as she went down the stairs and was serenaded by male singers led by balladeer Christian Bautista with “Beautiful In My Eyes.”

Anne felt overwhelmed by how she was welcomed.

“I think this is the biggest welcome I had in my career. Super grand… from the gowns, the car, the arrival, the paparazzi, the cameras… I never felt like this before,” she said.

The actress deemed that people should not make an issue out of her endorsement, saying that she and Marian are in good terms.

“We’re fine naman. There has never been an issue so I don’t think anyone else should make an issue out of it. I think all of us from the industry, anything that comes our way, we all just consider it a blessing to us because things aren’t just handed to us. We all work for
