MANILA, Philippines – With his and Vic Sotto’s “Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote” raking it in at the tills, Senator Bong Revilla has all the reason to be happy this season. When, during the presscon for the said movie, he was asked what he thought about Katrina Halili’s case against Hayden Kho being junked, Revilla only had very little to say.

“’Wag mawawalan ng pag-asa,” he said, pertaining to Halili.

Recall that not only was Revilla reported to have been “disgusted” with Kho, this staunch supporter of Halili—whose case was even investigated by the Senate through Revilla’s initiative—reacted to Kho calling him “narrow-minded” just last November. It would also be recalled that when the case broke out last year, Revilla was quoted by the media as calling Kho “the highest pervert.”

But this Christmas, Revilla said what’s important is people not forget the real reason behind the joyous celebrations—the Lord. He said it’s the season for giving, forgiving, helping and loving. “In the spirit of Christmas… let’s be happy,” he was quoted at the press conference.

With his rift with Kho the farthest thing on his mind now, Revilla expressed gratitude for all the blessings he has received this past year. In an article that appeared on push.com.ph, he was also quoted: “Basta… ipagpapatuloy natin ‘yung magaganda at ‘yung mga hindi maganda isantabi natin. I’m a positive thinker so I’d rather look at the bright side. Basta isipin natin kung papaano makatulong sa sambayanan at ‘yung trabaho ko bilang senador magamit ko ng tama sa pagtulong sa ating mamamayan.
