Losing their son, Jet, about seventeen months ago, was a family tragedy that would be hard to get over but Kelly Preston and John Travolta have new reasons to celebrate as they welcome their new son, Benjamin, last Tuesday.

Kelly, who is in her 40′s, gave birth to Benjamin, who is 8 pounds and 3 oz heavy. The mother and daughter are said to be doing fine after the birth.

Earlier, the mother was supposedly on serious prep mode, anticipating the arrival of Benjamin while big sister, Ella Blue has been helping her mother prepare.

John Travolta, meanwhile, has kept himself involved with his family and has gotten less busy with doing movies, appearing only in one movie this year.

The couple, who are Scientologists, is believed to have done the silent birthing method.
