Date Set for Royal Wedding

Ten million are, however, expected to grace the event in London via television, as people are expected to take a day off since the wedding will take place on a Friday. Already, some quarters are asking the government to declare April 29th as a special holiday. “The Royal Wedding is a day for national celebration, and a one-off additional bank holiday is appropriate.” The wedding already follows a series of holiday with Easter Sunday and the May bank holiday that is to occur on that week.

Billions of people are expected to follow the events on television too, as this wedding is the most anticipated event since Prince Charles, Prince William’s father, married Lady Diana in 1981.

The wedding is going to be shouldered equally the by Royal family and the Middletons, while the public is going to shoulder police and security. The British government is expected to spend about £5m for this grand wedding. The country, however, may recuperate some of this, as tourist as well as different media establishments from all over the world, will be drawn to London by April, giving more business to hotel, taxis and the airline industry. Food establishments are also expected to gain something from this wedding. London is expected to get a £620M boost from this
