Daniel Day Lewis has been cast in an upcoming Steven Spielberg production that will deal with the life of Abraham Lincoln. The casting is uncanny as the actor does look a lot like the character he is set to play.

But picking Day Lewis is also a brilliant choice. Everyone knows how much of a capable actor he is and I am sure he’s going to make Lincoln come to life so effectively on the big screen.

The story will be based on the book, Team of Rivals, written by Doris Kearns Goodwin. The script is written by Tony Kushner and will have to deal with slavery and Civil War.

Filming will begin next year and the movie is expected to be in theaters by 2012.
