Years after the final episode of the TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has aired, news have it that the show will get a reboot on the big screen. It should be noted that Buffy originally started as a movie, starring Helen Slater, in the 80′s.

But the idea with Joss Whedon involved in the new movie is floating around. And this time, it would not be about high school stuff. Upcoming screenwriter, Whit Anderson, is said to be doing the screenplay for the reboot. Joss Whedon, however, hasn’t been responsive of the reboot, even joking that he will be doing the Batman version with a cheaper budget.

The TV series, which ran for seven seasons, spawned a cult following, who aren’t also as enthusiastic about the planned movie version.
