Two summers ago, The Hangover was the biggest blockbuster comedy movie at the theaters. Its success warranted a second movie, and according to reports the trio of Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms are going outside the United States to do the sequel.

Part 2 is slated to be set in Bangkok and the film’s director, Todd Philips has said via Empire Online that, even Mr. Chow is coming back. “It takes place in Bangkok and L.A. There’s gonna be some [major] surprises. The three guys are back; Mr. Chow’s back, too.”

I’ve actually enjoyed the first film very much and I’m hoping that the sequel will live up to it and not just become a meaningless and unfunny franchise.
