Hollywood’s Vampire Invasion via Breaking Dawn

Posted by Lira

Screen shot 2010-10-18 at 9.46.21 AMThe other day came the announcement of stars who were cast in the next and final Stephanie Meyer Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn.

If there was such a thing as vampire overload, then this would have to be the exact depiction of it for the movie has not one, nor two, nor three but almost a dozen vampires in its list.

Heading the casting is Lee Pace, who starred in the now cancelled quirky TV series, Pushing Daisies. He will be playing the role of Garrett, the nomadic Vampire.

Joining him are Toni Trucks, Bill Tangradi, Erik Odom and Valerie Curry, who will all be part of this North American vampire clan.

The Egyptian cove, whose cast announcements came earlier, include Andrea Gabriel, Angela Sarafyan and Omar Metwally.

Noel Fisher and Guri Weinberg have been cast to play vampires from the Romanian Coven, while Lisa Howard, Patrick Brennan and Marlene Barnes form part of the Irish Coven.

None of the actors are ringing any familiar bells for me, except for Lee Pace.

The Denali clan early had Maggie Grace of Lost joining their family….along with Christian Camargo, Casy LaBow and MyAnna Buring, whose names aren’t familiar as well.

This vampire casting coup is courtesy of the fact that apparently, in Breaking Dawn — which I admit to have never read (nor have I seen the other two Twilight movies, actually) — there will be an all-out vampire war at the culmination of the story.

Are you looking forward to Breaking Dawn’s release?
