Presenting the New American Idol Judges
Is anyone even remotely surprised about the final line-up of American Idol judges?
In what was supposed to be a suspense-filled announcement, Fox and producers of the show finally let us in on who is taking over the seats left by Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi (Paula Abdul left a year earlier).
The new judges for Season 10 now include Singer, dancer and actress Jennifer Lopez, frontman for Aerosmith Steve Tyler and Randy Jackson, who has been judge of the program since day 1.
In past interviews Tyler was quoted to have said that if ever was going to sit in the judges chair, he would be tough with his critics, while Lopez will probably take cue from Abdul and play nice. This should replace the dynamics that will be missing from the show, with Cowell and Abdul permanently gone from the series.
Ryan Seacrest remains as host.
Aside from the new judges, other changes are to be expected as the show pushes its tenth season. This includes attempt to have more stars like Timbaland as celebrity guests. However, unlike past seasons, they will not be exactly shown on scene, but rather, behind the scenes.
Contestants will also have to work on their dancing shoes to be able to succeed and make it past Top 24 as they will be expected to dance more this year.
I don’t know what to expect anymore from this season and judging by the way things are, not much has changed really. Are you excited for the new season of American Idol?
