Here’s something to look forward to!

Deadline Hollywood has confirmed that director, Sam Raimi has just given a go to directing one of the many Wizard of Oz movies being planned by big studios. This is going to be the 3D prequel produced by Disney and is expected to be as box office billion dollar grossing film as Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.

The studio is setting its sights on having Robert Downey, Jr join the cast, but he has yet to confirm this. But if things go the way as planned, they will rewrite the script to accommodate the actor. He is eyed to play the Wizard of Oz, before he became THE Wizard.

The first film is released in 1939 has become such an icon and a treasure of the movie industry.
