I don’t know how much shock value this news is for you, considering the relationship happened in the 70′s and the two main characters are no longer that relevant in these times in my opinion. But writer, Kitty Kelly, who was written other unauthorized biographies of the stars, has revealed in her latest book that Oprah Winfrey and John Tesh did have an affair when the media personality giant was barely out of her teen years.

She was apparently living in with Entertainment Tonight’s John Tesh back then and both were struggling in Nashville. But the manner in which they broke up was really something. Apparently, because John Tesh was pressured by the interracial relationship, he literally bolted in the middle of the night and left a young Oprah.

According to the writer’s source: “He said one night he looked down and saw his white body next to her black body and couldn’t take it anymore. “He walked out in the middle of the night. … He told me he later felt very guilty about it.”

Meanwhile, Oprah’s people are mum about this book and would rather not make a comment. The explosive story, which is all about Oprah, should be released this Tuesday, and is available at Amazon.

The only time that Oprah admitted to even dating Tesh was when he guested on her 10th anniversary show and said that they shared one platonic dinner together.

Tesh, now himself an accomplished broadcaster, is married to Connie Selleca while Oprah has a lifetime partner in Steadman Graham.
