Ain’t It Cool is reporting that after doing a dark Alice in Wonderland (coming out in theaters real soon), Tim Burton is set to tackle the fairy tale story of Sleeping Beauty next. Except that the main plot will feature on the villain, Maleficent’s, point of view. It will also be entitled Maleficent.

There are no confirmed reports for this yet, but knowing Burton’s penchant for dark, fantasy stories, this project should fit like a glove for him.

I would love to see this get done by Burton, to be honest. Hope this project pushes through.
