Orlando Bloom Not Joining Fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean
Orlando Bloom, who has starred in the last three “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, has turned down the chance to join the fourth installment which will begin shooting and production in Hawaii this spring.
The actor, who has played Will Turner in the movie, follows Keira Knightley, his love interest, who has said but has yet to confirm, she isn’t also coming back. The main lead, Johnny Depp, is still on board though.
Bloom said in a statement, “I think Will is sort of swimming around with the fish at the bottom of the ocean. I had a great time making those movies. I just really wanted to do different things.” Although he says he is excited to watch this one, “I think it’s going to be great. Whatever Johnny does, I think it’s fantastic.”
The fourth film, entitled: “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” will be directed by Rob Marshall and will run in theaters in 2011.
