Adam Lambert Shocker Causes Him To Lose GMA Gig

Because his racy performance at the recently concluded American Music Awards shocked the audience, Adam Lambert, American Idol’s runner-up last year, has had his guest stint at Good Morning America (GMA) cancelled.
A spokesperson for ABC, where Good Morning America airs had this to say via Rolling Stone: “Given his controversial live performance on the AMAs we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.”
This isn’t stopping Lambert from performing elsewhere anyway. The singer is scheduled to instead appear on CBS, The Early Show.
When asked of the GMA cancellation, Lambert had this to say at Ryan’s Seacrest’s radio show early this morning: “Obviously I respect their decision, they gotta do what they gotta do. It’s too bad, I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to come see me. They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren’t happy about it. I don’t necessarily agree with it, but they need to do what they need to do.”
The AMA performance was to be Lambert’s debut on TV, post-Idol. Many were indeed very shocked at what he did, gay and straight people alike, considering AMA is kind of a family-friendly and kid-friendly event. His number included some crotch grabbing and a make-out session with his male guitarist, while performing in front of a crowd of thousands. The show afterwards received a lot of complaints from all sectors of society.
I haven’t seen the video of Adam Lamber’s AMA number myself, but I have seen the pictures but couldn’t really say much. Did you find his performance offensive?
