Tyra Vows to Reveal Her Real Hair
Do we even care?
I don’t want to see Tyra’s ‘real hair’. I already know that she’s the Queen of Weave, I accept that and have filed it away in the same
drawer that contains Dolly Parton’s quick-witted response when an interviewer asked her, “So, who does your hair?”, and she smoothly,
and with a genuine smile on her face answered, “I don’t know; I wasn’t there.”
Tyra taking out her weave-of-the-day is publicity stunt that shouldn’t happen. It would be like me, if I stopped having ‘regular
conversations’ with Miss Clairol. If I don’t want people to have mental images of me in my grey hair, then I keep up with my roots. If
Tyra doesn’t want her glamorous image, the one she’s worked so hard to cultivate, superimposed with the equivalent of Nick Nolte’s mug shot or Tom Cruise’s couch-jumping, she should find a more worthy topic for her season premier!
My advice? Tyra, your weave is part of your image and you know that it looks beautiful on you. If you want me, and the rest of us, to tune into your show, give us a real reason to watch that doesn’t have anything to do with you promoting yourself.
