If you were Susan Boyle, would you feel insulted this is the way producers are planning to do your biopic?

The 48 year old singing sensation from “Britain’s Got Talent” shot to worldwide fame when her clip singing “I Dream a Dream” became a viral video. Hers was a typical Ugly Duckling story. A gem was discovered underneath all that physical plainness. Since then though, the singer has had a difficult time, dealing with her new found celebrity status perhaps. She has been hospitalized shortly after the show ended. She has also missed tour dates with the show. The singing sensation suddenly became last week’s news rather quickly.

Now, reports are saying her life is set to be made into a Lifetime movie with Robin Williams playing her part. The actor, who has dressed as a woman once in the movie “Mrs. Doubtfire”, has been reported to start practicing already. Of this Robin Williams says: “I’ve been asked if I want to play Susan in the movie. I think she’s incredible. That clip of her singing on Britain’s Got Talent was extraordinary. So inspiring. It was quite a shock when she began to sing. I saw some other clip of her singing Cry Me A River a few years ago. It was incredible. She’s got a really great voice.”

Maybe they want to make this into a comedy movie. But then…would it have been better if people behind Susan were to work on a music contract deal instead of a movie? Whatever happened to that?
