Robert Downey Jr Won’t Be Wearing Fangs
Early this week, rumors of Robert Downey Jr taking on the role of the vampire Lestat, from Anne Rice’s best selling novel, Interview With The Vampire, surfaced on the internet.
The actor quickly dismissed this rumors with his reps saying that RDJ hasn’t even been offered any projects pertaining to such.
Robert Downey, Jr has played two iconic characters on his resume: the Iron Man, which was a 2008 summer blockbuster; and his upcoming portrayal of the world famous detective, Sherlock Holmes. A third one, like Lestat, would prove to be a bigger challenge. Especially since, there have been someone else who has impressively played Lestat before (Tom Cruise) in the 1994 movie version of the novel.
If such a project existed, would RDJ do justice to the role though?
Anyway, here is a peek at RDJ’s upcoming film, Sherlock Holmes. It will be in theaters Dec. 25:
