Anna Paquin Engaged to Co-Star
Anna Paquin is getting married! I remember her when shew as just a kid in The Piano, and of course her angsty mutant teen in the X-Men series put a human face on the whole conflict. But she’s grown up now, and at 27 she’s getting ready to take a huge step toward her own happiness.
Nor is she getting hitched to just any old bloke. Her fiancé is none other than the very handsome and extremely talented Brit, Steven Moyer. Who happens to be her co-star on the highly successful HBO series Tru Blood. The show is loosely based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels and is being produced/aired by HBO.
The two, who met when they were auditioning for the parts of Sookie and Bill, kept their relationship under wraps, but not because of the paparazzi. Their concern was for the cast and crew of the show. Each star has stated how they deliberately kept their off-screen feelings to themselves because they didn’t want those who worked the set to worry about the show falling apart – and being out of work – just because the stars of the show had fallen in love with each other.
But now, with the show a raging success and having received a commitment from HBO for a third season, Steve popped the question to Anna and she said YES!
