Michael Jackson Memorial Service Announced
Up to now all we’ve known is that there wouldn’t be a memorial service at Neverland. Now that family has announced that there will be a public memorial service for Michael Jackson Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
They are making over 11,000 tickets free and available to the public, but obviously not everyone who wants one can get one. What you have to do is go to the website (www.staplescenter.com) and enter yourself in the drawing for the tickets to the memorial.
The funeral is a whole ‘nother thing and will probably take place later Tuesday with just family and close friends there.
I don’t mean to be flip or disrespectful, but does anybody else remember in about 1985, when the Jackson 5 were touring, and you had to order the tickets by mail, and if there weren’t enough, they would have a drawing of some sort? At least, that’s how I remember it (I wasn’t allowed to go to that concert, I was too young). Strange similarities…
I hope that Michael can finally rest, and that his family will have some peace.
