Michael Jackson Dies of Cardiac Arrest
Michael Jackson, the pop star sensation who rose to fame as a child singer and responsible for such hits as Thriller, Beat It, and Billie Jean, died today from Cardiac Arrest. The news spread like wildfire a couple of hours ago started by TMZ. Jackson was 50 years old.
Jackson’s death comes a day after another celebrity, Farrah Fawcett, died of her long bout with cancer. She was 62.
One of the staff members at Jackson’s Holmby Hills home called 911. Paramedics arrived but were unable to revive him. Upon their arrival, paramedics found Jackson without a pulse and never got a pulse back. Jackson was said to be already dead when the paramedics arrived.
A cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest. Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.
Only a sobbing La Toya Jackson was reported to have rushed to her brother’s aid.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics had rushed to the singer’s $100,00-a-month rented home near Sunset Boulevard to find him not breathing, according to the LA Times.
Jackson’s Wikipedia entry was updated this morning to declare him dead on June 25, 2009.
Michael Jackson leaves a close to perfect life, holding a successful singing career which got tarnished with various issues surrounding his relationship with kids and of course his celebrated body transformations.
Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II.
