This is so incredibly sad.  Mike Tyson used to be in the news a lot, but mostly for bad things he did or was accused of doing.  This time is entirely different.  His 4-year-old daughter, Exodus, was apparently playing on or near a treadmill yesterday, when she fell and ended up getting strangled in one of the cords.

Her 7-year-old brother found her, and her mom rushed her to the hospital.  Mike flew back from Las Vegas and went straight to the hospital.  Exodus was put on life support, but died today.

The family released this statement after Exodus’ death today:

There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.

This is the only picture I could find of her, which is good, I guess, because it means that the media gave her some privacy.  The young woman holding Exodus is Tyson’s oldest daugher, Rayna.

To Mike and all the Tysons, please accept our prayers and sympathy.  We are so sorry for your loss.
