Disney Takes a Train Ride
Disney is releasing a new version of A Christmas Carol for the holiday season later this year. It looks like it will be animated, but we know it will be 3-D, and it will star Jim Carrey.

(Just a little aside…what’s with all the 3-D stuff that’s out these days? What is this, 1950? 3-D does not make a movie more interesting! You have to have things like character and plot for that!)
Anyway, to promote this movie, they’ve done something unique. They’ve turned a train into a traveling studio and they’ll be rolling it down a track near you. One car will hold memoribilia from the movie, and one will play clips in 3-D from it. There will also be interactive exhibits and cookies. They’ll be visiting 40 cities in 36 states.

Director Robert Zimeckis is pretty excited about it, calling it “incredibly fun.” They’re goingto be opening it to the public when they stop for a little while at each town, so that’s kind of cool.
You can go to the Disney site to get the schedule to see if the Christmas Carol Train is coming to your town (be careful when you open that link, though…Scrooge leans in from the right edge of the frame looking for all the world like Freddy Kreuger.).
A Christmas Carol opens November 6.
