Dennis Quaid Reaches Settlement for Newborn Twins
Hospitals have to be careful on how to carry out their line of service. Aside from having a high-profiled actor like Dennis Quaid under their wing, taking care of their children, twins at that, needs extra care. In this case, the issue is more on the overdose infusion of blood thinner to which both the Cedar-Sinai Medical Centre and Baxter Healthcare Corp may be liable for more legal battles as far as the Quaids are concerned.
Documents show the Quaids sued drug maker Baxter Healthcare Corp. in Illinois over the drug’s packaging, but that case has been dismissed. The petition filed Monday indicates Baxter may also sue Cedars-Sinai, which administered too much Heparin to several patients in November 2007, including the Quaids’ twins.
