Can American Idol Really Make you Famous?

We have seen the evolution of people who have successfully gone through American Idol and this is what many say would be the step towards personal success and branding. But while that is what we are all made to believe, have the people who passed the rowdy judges really accomplished anything?

We know that names like David Cook, Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson were successful but as far as household names, you would have to agree that they have a lot of work to do in that department.

With that in mind what could possibly carve their niche? A singing career? Movie roles? How about TV hosting or series? Seriously, they have the choices but apparently there is something holding them back. What could that possibly be?

So is it worth it to come out of American Idol as the winner? At first perhaps. But in the long run, you have to wonder what you can get out of it other than short-lived popularity.

I really enjoyed the final 5 American idol group song last night. It was sad to see Aaron Kelly removed but I do believe the others were better singers so he had to go!
